Bio

I'm Cormac Lawler, from Ireland but living in Manchester, UK where I'm studying for a PhD in the field of education and community-based media. This is based around Wikimedia UK - a charity we're setting up to act as an outreach of Wikimedia (you may have heard of Wikipedia, the free, collaborative multilingual encyclopedia, its flagship project - if not go to http://en.wikipedia.org/ or http://www.wikipedia.org to see all other languages its being written in). This blog exists to brainstorm my ideas for my research on this project and to document its process.
